Nampa Development Corporation
Strategic Public Investment to Revitalize Nampa
The Nampa City Council created an urban renewal district in December of 2006. According to state law, such districts can collect tax revenue from new taxable valuation in the district. That revenue can be spent on redevelopment and infrastructure projects at the direction of a redevelopment corporation. Nampa created the Nampa Development Corporation to direct revitalization efforts. The board includes the current City Council members Pam White, Stephen Kren, Martin Thorne and Curtis Homer. The board also consists of County Commissioner David Ferdinand, Nampa School District Board Chairman Dan Nogales and local developer Nick Treinen. Mr. Kren is the chairman. The commission meets on the first Wednesday following the first Monday of every month at 3 p.m. in the Nampa City Hall Council Chambers. The public is always welcome.
